Thank you for taking part in the 2018 Plastic Bag Grab challenge! To submit your results please fill out the form below. You can also submit results before or after you drop off your plastic bags at your selected Walmart.

To submit your final results you will need:

  • Total number of plastic bags collected (if collecting bags)
  • Total participating students
  • A photo that best describes your Plastic Bag Grab challenge (can be of your bags, and/or of your school learning & engaging on plastics waste)
  • A summary of how your school took action on plastic bag waste and engaged in the 3Rs
  • The URL or account name(s) of your social media submission(s). 

Final results will be accepted from April 20 - May 6

Step 1: Your contact information
Important: For verification purposes please enter the same contact information used when registering. Only pre-registered schools are eligible to receive prizes for this challenge.
Step 2: School Information
The Plastic Bag Grab challenge is only open to students from junior kindergarten to grade 8. If your school has students from 9-12, please only enter the number of students from K-8.
Step 3: Tell us your results!
Please submit a photo or visual that summarizes your Plastic Bag Grab challenge. The photo can be of your bags, posters or other visual learning tools, picture of students learning/engaging in the community, etc.
Files must be less than 5 MB.
Allowed file types: gif jpg jpeg png eps psd doc docx ppt pptx zip.
Community Engagement
The following questions will be used in the judging process when determining community engagement winners, so make sure to share all the great things your school did during Earth Week!
Did you take a plastics pledge? Run a social media campaign? Reach out to local organizations and businesses? We want to hear it!

Recycling Council of Ontario has a long history of creating educational programs for schools. We're always looking to grow our programming and create new ways to educate Canada's youth on various waste issues. The following questions will help improve our programs for future years.
